  • The Control Systems Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of control systems through the design, development, and execution of comprehensive testing procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues in complex systems.

  • Test System Development:

    • Develop and maintain the test library, including test hardware, software, and tooling

    • Manage the schedule of test artefacts to ensure timely and effective testing

    Process Management:

    • Support the development of internal test processes and procedures.

    • Lead internal pre-site testing, including factory acceptance testing.

    Documentation:

    • Record and document test results systematically.

    • Raise and manage defects, providing clear and detailed information for the development team.

    • Produce comprehensive test documentation for in-house testing and site acceptance testing.

    Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with the development team to provide constructive feedback for improvements.

    • Support site testing activities as required.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in using PLC, SCADA, and HMI applications.

    • Experience with Serial and Ethernet Interfaces to third-party equipment.

    • Knowledge of control system design methodology.

    • Familiarity with safety systems and systems engineering.

      Test Management:

    • Prior experience in test management.

    • Ability to contribute innovative ideas for testing approaches.

      Qualifications:

    • Ideally holds an HNC/BTEC and apprenticeship in Electromechanical discipline.

    • Alternatively, possesses a degree in a relevant software/engineering discipline.

      Security Clearance:

    • Must be able to attain UK Security Clearance
