Automation Talent Recruitment Turns 1!
Automation Talent Recruitment (ATR) of Stokesley, North Yorkshire was founded by director Lindsay Lofthouse. On the 1st December 2020 ATR turned 1, this milestone is huge for ATR on its mission to ensure businesses have talented, suitable and motivated candidates within their organisations and to exceed expectations in the recruitment journey for both clients and candidates.
“I am thrilled at how far ATR has come in the last 12 months as 2020 has been a challenging year for many people and businesses”, says Lindsay Lofthouse, director of ATR. “I find personal satisfaction when I successfully fill a role for a client or place a candidate in their desired role”.
ATR has achieved some huge accomplishments over the last year. One of these includes successfully recruiting over 16 new employees for sister company, Applied Integration (AI) during the difficult circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. This increase occurred over a period of four months and helped AI to bring on new roles to enable them to grow further.
“COVID-19 has hit many industries hard and we are delighted to be able to significantly expand our engineering teams in such challenging times. I would like to credit our staff members for their efforts and helping the company grow to new heights”, says Garry Lofthouse, CEO of Applied Integration. “The new roles bring highly skilled staff into the business helping us to grow further”.
Automation Talent Recruitment have also helped to fulfil short term cover for sickness, particularly through the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to their vast database of pre vetted workers and strong relationships ATR have built up over the last year, it has allowed them to quickly fill a short-term position where a key member of staff has taken ill. This ensures companies can operate at full capacity and therefore does not affect their daily procedures and productivity levels.
In July 2019, ATR expanded their team and introduced recruitment manager, Kevin Stokes. Kevin has over 12 years’ experience within the engineering recruitment sector. This has enabled him to create strong partnerships with many leading companies within Teesside and further afield.

Additionally, Kevin’s experiences will benefit ATR moving forward due to experience in building long lasting relationships with both candidates and clients and helping to fulfil high expectations for both parties.
As strong supporters of Women in Engineering, in September 2019 ATR assisted Applied Integration with the recruitment of their Panel Wirer, Rachel Young. ATR Director, Lindsay Lofthouse is working on becoming an ambassador for women in engineering and as soon as schools, colleges and universities are back up and running as normal, Lindsay is hoping to get back into these places to encourage more women to join a career within engineering.
ATR is an official member of REC. REC offer legal advice, business support and training to help ATR grow the number of candidates and clients they help.
Like many other businesses this year, ATR have faced many challenges. One of the external challenges which ATR have overcome is the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. ATR had to think of new ways to recruit candidates and talk to companies via video calls and ensuring all their forms were online.
